For more than two centuries the United States Marine Corps has been guarding the shores and the interest and the
great people of the United States of America. Many of these Marines served in peace time while others were called
upon to serve in a time of war and conflict. No matter when or where these brave Marines served, from Tun Tavern to
Belleau Woods, Iwo Jima to Korea and Vietnam, World Wars I and II, the Cold War, The Gulf War, Iraq and all others
places left unsaid. These Marines served with Honor and Pride and Integrity and Courage, and that is why "If you look
on Heaven's scene, you will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines".
For those brave Marines who have gone on to stand guard at Gate Post One for the Supreme Commandant. We miss
you, we love you, we honor you and cherish your memory. We salute your service to God, Country and Corps, and we
will always cherish the time that we got to spend with you, and we look forward to seeing you again as you welcome us
home and through the Pearly Gates of Gate Post One. SEMPER FIDELIS.
